    I am not sure of your background story and why you started NC.

But personally, I have never been a fan of anyone (MM, SG, OW, MOW, anyone) just ending a R with no word and no contact. It would hurt me tremendously as well as worry me to death, wondering if my BF was dead, hurt, angry with me over something, or a hundred other things. If my BF had explained to me that the R was over because he wasn't happy in it, then I could process that and learn to get over it.

I just think unexplained NC is cruel in most cases.

THAT SAID, ending a R doesn't take a whole lot of time either. (I hate endings by text, btw). But the longer a conversation takes place, the easier it is to give in and stay in a R that is hurting you.
