In Reckless Abandon
by ljayne

In reckless abandon,
I feel your distance.
Thought you were the one,
Wrong once again.
Will I ever know the right one?
Blinded by false happiness,
The sun never shines in between.
My heart is wasting away,
Growing weak of giving and not receiving.
Sometimes I pray for the wind to just wisp me away,
To no longer feel this emptiness.
I ponder this unsettled nature
That comes from inside of me
