How do we get ourselves into this situation?

Are we afraid to committ to a single man? My story is very similar toall of yours. Divorced after a long term marriage, I was determined notto remarry. I met my MM through business. We are of diferent cultures,he is Middles Eastern, Muslim and I, American, caucasian, Protestent. Webecame very close friends over a several month period before everbecoming lovers.

His story of his marriage was no differnet than any other married mannor woman's. The wife/husband has become cold, no spark, nocompatibility, no talking..no intimacy. At first I just listened, sayingto myself..ususal married man story. One day I met his wife..Iunderstood more of what he had been telling me.

Our affair began over two years ago and is still going strong. Would Ido it again if I had the chance to start over? No! I have no doubt thathe loves me and I love him but living a "double" life is not easy.Spending holidays alone. Accepting the "crumbs" of another woman's lifeis not really living.

We "all" deserve much more from life. Why have we accepted so "little"?
